The Art Of The Movie Review
The best Movie Reviews are written by those who can concisely weigh the pros and cons of a movie in a thoughtful manner. This must be done without spoiling the movie completely and yet give the reader a sense of what the movie is all about. The following is a guide to mastering the art of writing a movies review piece.
To write a movie review that will stand out, follow these simple steps: 1.Start the review with a clear opinion about whether the movie is incredible, mediocre, or awful. This will set the tone for the entire movie review. 2.Write out the best and worst points of the movie without giving away plot twists. If it is a Christian movie review, be sure to point out any swearing, violence, or other explicit content the viewer might want to avoid. 3.Add in a few notes about how the movie made you feel. Was it uplifting? Depressing? Boring? Descriptive words are a must for a good movie review. 4.Make relevant comparisons of the movie to other movies or genres, such as “The fan of Bollywood Movies will appreciate the fanfare of this epic movie!” This will give the reader an idea of what to expect.
Sometimes the movie reviews itself, with a very basic plot, predictable comedic moments, or unimaginative action sequences. If that is the case, point out these aspects as negatives, but think of a few redeeming qualities in the movie to end the review with. While it is all right to love or hate a particular movie, always keep in mind that not everyone reading the review will necessarily agree. It is a good idea to never just focus on the good qualities or bad qualities alone, or the review will be predictable and uninteresting.
Lastly, great Movie Reviews interject comedy and wit whenever possible. New movies come out just about every week, and with so many Free Movie Downloads out there and TV Movies to choose from, there will never be a shortage of media content to write movies reviews about.
