This kind of television viewing can be incredibly addicted and many people know reality shows as good as they know fictional characters on television shows. This kind of involvement allows reality tv shows to connect with people on a personal level, something that fictional characters simply can’t do. It’s like getting to know people without having to speak to them, a sort of peep show that lets people go into the very soul of people as they speak to each other and experience emotion. As long as the shows remain engaging, reality tv show stars will continue to fascinate the viewing public and leave their mark on television history. Many people are happy about this trend and hope that it continues over the next few decades, or centuries. We’re hooked.
